Charlie And The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl-Jovitha James 28

      Charlie and the chocolate factory is a fabulous fantasy book by the British author Roald Dalh. Even though it is a children's book, it is cherished by people of all ages. It is a story about five children who gets the golden ticket and got a chance to visit the chocolate factory along with the eccentric chocolatier Mr Willy Wonka.

      Willy Wonka who closes the factory to outsiders announced the reopening of his factory and invited five children along with their parents to come on a tour if they found the olden ticket in a Wonka bar. Gluttonous Augustus Gloop,the spoiled and petulant Veruca Salt,chewing gum addict Violet Beauregarde,the television obsessed Mike Teavee and Charlie gets the fabulous chance to enter the chocolate factory.The factory is operated by Oompa Loompas. As their tour proceeds in the chocolate, one by one gets punished for their bad behavior. Augustus Gloop falls into the chocolate river and gets sucked up by the pipe. Violet grabs a stick of gum that blows her into a giant blueberry. Veruca Salt is deemed a "bad nut" by the trained squirrels and is thrown into the garbage. Mike Teavee demands to be sent by television and get shrunk in the process.The four spoiled brats do not succeed in completing the tour.Charlie is the only one left and get to travel in the glass elevator to his home. Afterwards Wonka invites charlies family to live with him.

       This charming story captivated the minds of the children for years. This story gives good messages of the need to be self-disciplined  or to have a good behavior. It tells the need for waiting patiently in our life to welcome the beautiful surprises that awaits us.In this story charlie waits patiently and finally becomes the successor of Willy Wonka. .Charlie the protaganist  of the story is a boy who have a lot of affection to his family.He is a boy who know to out live the
adversities he faced in his life and is surly a role model for all children.
       Cadbury and Rowntrees were the famous chocolate companies during dahl's time.Each company would sent spies to know their trade secret and the companies become highly protective.Its on this bakground that he wrote this book.This book is written in simple language and Iam sure it keeps us engaged till the end
