THE SITTAFORD MYSTERY BOOK REVIEW - Gopikrishnan V Kaimal

THE SITTAFORD MYSTERY BOOK REVIEW -                                                                                  Gopikrishnan V Kaimal

Author- Agatha Christie

Published Year- 1931

Genre- Crime Fiction

The Sittaford Mystery is a detective fiction novel written by Agatha Christie, who is more than the most popular mystery writer of all time. This work was first published in 1931. Like any other brilliant works of Agatha Christie, this one is also an amazing crime thriller that can keep the reader enrapt till the end. All the same, the novel hasn't been as entrancing as the previous Agatha Christie novels I have read.

The novel is set in the background of a tiny isolated village in Dartmoor, where the crime betides. The concatenation of the events that occur after the crime are prodigious and more than enough for keeping the readers curious.

The author has left something unanticipated for the end. But personally I found the final twist to the story to be delusive. This was in contrary to the other novels by the author, I have read. Altogether, the progression of the story was fine and dandy. For me, the characters of the story was  pragmatic. It is the endearment that I felt towards them rather than the detective nature that kept me in the story.
